This release introduces a completely new label workflow, optional online features, a refreshed visual identity, and numerous quality-of-life improvements—all while staying true to SCADA’s offline-first philosophy.
🏷️ Smarter Label Management
Label printing has been completely reimagined.
The new Label Queue allows you to collect up to 18 comics and generate a single PDF for batch printing. Existing single-label printing remains available, so you can choose the workflow that best fits your needs.
QR labels have also become smarter than ever.
Whenever QR-relevant comic information changes, labels are regenerated automatically in the background. No manual updates are required, ensuring every newly printed label always contains the latest information.
To make printed labels easier to manage, every QR label now contains a unique Label ID. The identifier is printed beneath the QR code and embedded into the QR payload, making it simple to distinguish between older and newly generated labels.
🏆 Complete Series Achievement
Completing a series now deserves recognition.
Series that reach 100% collection progress are automatically marked with a dedicated achievement icon, making completed collections instantly recognizable without affecting the clean appearance of Collection cards.
🌐 Optional Online Features
SCADA remains an offline-first desktop application—exactly as it has always been.
Version 1.2 introduces a new Online Features section in Settings, allowing you to enable connected functionality only if you want it.
Available features include:
- Automatic update notifications
- Latest news directly from Spider Comics Authority
- Fast asynchronous loading without slowing down application startup

- No telemetry
- No collection data is transmitted
Everything is completely optional.
🎨 Brand Refresh
SCADA now features its new visual identity across the application and all official platforms.
The refreshed logo, updated icons, and improved branding create a more modern and consistent experience while preserving the familiar SCADA look and feel.
📊 Dashboard Improvements
The Dashboard is now more flexible than ever.
You can freely rearrange Dashboard sections using drag & drop, and your preferred layout is automatically restored the next time you start SCADA.
The Archive Preview has also been refined with improved responsive behavior for a cleaner presentation on different window sizes.
If Online Features are enabled, the Dashboard can additionally display the latest news from Spider Comics Authority.
🖱️ User Experience Improvements
Many everyday workflows have been refined throughout the application.
