The General section contains SCADA’s basic application settings. Here you can configure general options such as the user interface language, the application window size, and access to the online documentation.
These settings affect the behavior of SCADA itself and are independent of your comic database.
Language
Use the Language setting to select the language of the user interface.
After changing the language, restarting SCADA is recommended to ensure that all interface elements are updated correctly.
Note: Changing the interface language only affects the application itself. Your comic data, metadata, and collection remain unchanged.
Window Size
SCADA can remember the size of its main application window.
There are two ways to configure the startup size.
Set a Fixed Window Size
Use Initial Width and Initial Height to define the window size that SCADA should use when it starts.
Use the Current Window Size
Click Use Current Size to automatically copy the current window dimensions.
Save the settings by selecting Save Window Size.
SCADA will use this window size the next time it starts.
Online Documentation
SCADA includes optional access to its online documentation.
When enabled, context-sensitive help pages can be opened directly from within the application using your default web browser.
This feature is disabled by default and must be enabled manually.
Privacy
Opening the online documentation does not transmit usage data from SCADA.
The application simply opens the corresponding documentation page in your default web browser.
This approach preserves SCADA’s Offline-First philosophy while still providing convenient access to the latest documentation whenever you need it.
Summary
The General Settings allow you to customize SCADA’s basic behavior, including the interface language, startup window size, and optional access to the integrated online documentation.
