The Advanced section is intended for experienced users and developers. It provides access to advanced data management features, important system paths, and developer tools.
Some functions directly affect your local data and should therefore be used with caution.
Danger Zone
The Danger Zone contains actions that cannot be undone.
Delete Local Archive Database
Select Delete Local Archive Database to permanently remove your local SCADA database.
A confirmation dialog must be accepted before the deletion is performed.
Warning: This action is irreversible.
Deleting the database removes all comics, metadata, collection information, and other data stored within the database.
Cover images, exported files, and other external files may still exist on your computer and can be removed manually if required.
Recommendation: Always create a current backup before deleting your database.
System Paths
SCADA stores all of its data locally on your computer.
The System Paths section provides quick access to the most important storage locations.
User Data Folder
Contains your complete SCADA user configuration and application data.
Database Path
The location of the local SCADA database.
All comics, metadata, collection information, and related data are stored here.
Storage Folder
The central storage location for additional application files.
Covers Folder
Contains all comic cover images.
Opening this folder allows you to browse, manage, or back up your cover files.
Logs Folder
Contains log files generated by SCADA.
These files can be useful when troubleshooting problems or reporting bugs.
Backups Folder
The location where automatic and manual backups are stored.
Each path can be opened directly in your operating system’s file explorer using the Open or Open Folder button.
Developer Tools
Enable Unlock Developer Tools to access additional tools for development, testing, and debugging.
These features are intended for development purposes only and are not required for normal day-to-day use of SCADA.
Privacy
SCADA follows an Offline-First philosophy.
By default, all comic data, metadata, configuration files, and backups remain stored locally on your computer.
No collection data or personal information is automatically transmitted to external servers.
This ensures that you always retain full control over both your collection and where your data is stored.
Summary
The Advanced section provides access to SCADA’s most powerful administrative features. From viewing important system paths and managing local data to enabling developer tools, this area is designed for advanced users who require greater control over the application and its data.
