Hello! 👋
Chances are you received this link directly from me or stumbled across SCADA somewhere online.
First of all: Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! 😊
My name is Sascha, and I develop SCADA in my spare time. The idea started from a very simple need: I began collecting Spider-Man comics and eventually got tired of Excel spreadsheets, cloud services, user accounts, and subscription models.
So I decided to build my own software.
And that’s how SCADA was born.
What is SCADA?
SCADA (Spider Comics Archive Desktop App) is a local desktop application designed to manage comic book collections.
It helps collectors organize comics, series, variants, and metadata while providing a clean and enjoyable archival experience.
SCADA follows a simple philosophy:
- No cloud
- No registration
- No user accounts
- No subscriptions
- No data collection
Your collection stays on your computer. Period.
Why am I looking for testers?
SCADA has reached a stable stage of development and continues to evolve with every release.
However, the best ideas often come from people who actually use the software. That’s why I’m looking for comic collectors who would like to try SCADA and share their experiences.
You don’t need to be a technical expert. In fact, regular users often provide the most valuable feedback and discover things I would never notice on my own.
Whether you own a handful of comics or a massive collection, every bit of feedback helps.
Free. Now and in the future.
SCADA is a personal passion project that I develop alongside my regular job.
I have no interest in collecting user accounts, building mailing lists, tracking user behavior, or locking features behind subscriptions.
My goal is simply to create software that I enjoy using myself and that other comic collectors might enjoy as well.
Download and get started
To download SCADA, you need:
- No email address
- No user account
- No registration
Just download it, install it, and give it a try.
That’s it.
Security & Transparency
I completely understand that downloading software from an independent developer requires trust.
That’s why I try to be as transparent as possible:
- Real legal notice (Imprint)
- Real developer
- Public changelogs
- Public development updates
- SHA256 checksums for downloads
SCADA works entirely offline and does not transmit your collection data to me.
What do I expect?
Honestly?
Just honesty.
If something works well, I’d love to hear about it.
If something doesn’t work, I definitely want to know.
Bug reports, suggestions, and new ideas all help make SCADA better.
Interested?
Then I’d be happy if you gave SCADA a try and became part of the community.
Together, we can continue building the comic archive software that collectors deserve. 🚀
Thank you for your support!
