What’s new in SCADA 1.1.0
One of the biggest updates since the initial release is here! SCADA 1.1.0 focuses on usability, metadata management, import/export improvements, and a significantly enhanced Timeline experience.
🚀 Metadata SCAPACK Support
SCADA now supports exporting and importing metadata independently from comics.
Supported metadata includes:
• Publishers
• Series
• Creators
• Characters
• Story Arcs
• Universes
Duplicate detection prevents existing metadata from being imported twice, while a new import summary clearly shows total, new, and existing records before importing.
🔎 New Archive Filter Picker
The Archive filtering experience has been completely redesigned.
• Modern searchable filter dialogs
• Cleaner and more intuitive layout
• Better readability for large datasets
• Improved overall usability
Managing large comic collections is now faster and more convenient than ever.
📅 Redesigned Timeline
The Timeline has received a major visual refresh.
New features include:
• Visible Timeline Range slider

📖 Context-Sensitive Online Help
SCADA now includes optional context-sensitive online documentation.
Simply press F1 to open the documentation for the currently active section.
Features include:
• Disabled by default for full Offline-First compatibility
• Can be enabled in Settings
• Opens the appropriate documentation page automatically
• Falls back to the documentation homepage if a dedicated article is not yet available
📦 SCAPACK Improvements
SCAPACK continues to evolve with several enhancements:
• Optional cover image export
• Copyright notice for exported cover images
• Improved stability
• Better compatibility
• Enhanced backward compatibility
📄 CSV Import Improvements
The CSV importer has been significantly improved.
Highlights include:
• Better encoding detection
• Corrected field mapping
• Improved preview and validation
• Empty status values are automatically set to Missing
• Increased reliability and compatibility
💾 Backup Improvements
Backup behavior is now fully configurable.
Choose whether SCADA should:
• Never create a backup
• Always create a backup
• Ask every time before exiting
🛠 Developer Tools
New tools for developers include:
• Help URL Overview
• Documentation URL availability checks
These additions make creating and maintaining the online documentation much easier.

• Newly created comics are automatically selected after saving.
• The Archive scrolls directly to the new entry and updates the Preview automatically.
• The Dashboard Archive Preview now displays recently added comics regardless of collection status.
• Improved context menu rendering across different Windows themes.
• Consistent Premium Dark appearance across Windows Light and Dark modes.
