My name is Sascha, and I develop SCADA in my spare time. As a Spider-Man comic collector, I eventually got tired of Excel sheets, cloud services, user accounts, and subscription models.
So I decided to build my own software.
And that’s how SCADA was born.
What is SCADA?
SCADA (Spider Comics Archive Desktop App) is a local desktop application for managing comic collections.
Its philosophy is simple:
- No cloud
- No registration
- No user accounts
- No subscriptions
- No data collection
Your collection stays on your computer. Period.
Why am I looking for beta testers?
Version 0.4.0 is the final major beta release before the planned 1.0 stable version.
I’m looking for comic fans and collectors who would like to try SCADA, report bugs, share ideas, and provide honest feedback.
You don’t need to be a tech expert. In fact, regular users often discover things I would never notice myself.
Free — Now and in the Future
SCADA is a personal passion project that I develop alongside my regular job.
It is not open source, but it will remain free to use. My goal is not to sell subscriptions, collect user data, or build a mailing list. I simply want to create software that I enjoy using and that other comic collectors might enjoy as well.

Security & Transparency
I understand that downloading software from an independent developer requires trust.
That’s why I try to be as transparent as possible:
- Real developer
- Public changelogs
- Public development updates
- VirusTotal scans for every release
- SHA256 checksums for downloads
SCADA runs entirely on your computer and does not upload your collection data.
