SCADA stands for Spider Comics Archive Desktop App and is the core application behind the Spider Comics Authority project.
It originally started as a simple tool to organize my own comic collection. Over time, that idea evolved into a long-term passion project—something I plan to continue developing for many years to come.
SCADA deliberately follows a different philosophy than many modern applications:
- No mandatory internet connection
- No required user accounts
- No hidden telemetry
- A strong focus on privacy, archiving, and long-term accessibility
The software is built from a collector’s perspective and is intended for people who prefer managing their collections on their own computer rather than relying on cloud-based services.
Although SCADA has its roots in Spider-Man comics, it is designed to manage any comic collection—including Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, manga, independent publishers, and even completely custom collections.
The goal is simple: to give collectors full control over their own data while providing powerful tools for cataloging, organizing, preserving, and showcasing their collections.
